The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster
So, who was at the Scala gig last night? Just like the last one in Camden, the crowd was very friendly. TEMBD's set was... punishing. I was right down the front and there seemed to be very little, if any, chance to catch your breath. Even for the new material, people wanted to dance/mosh/jump around. The only real break came before the encore. I'm absolutely knackered today. There was a lot of new material, which sounded fantastic, I have to say, and much heavier than the last album. Thre was no sign of any of the 'lighter' songs from that album either. So no Dancing Girls, or I Could Be An Angle, or Puppy Dog Snails.|
The first support act was enjoyable, but nothing too special. I went back into the bar after about two minutes of the second support act, who just didn't appeal to me at all. I watched the third support act from the balcony, and really enjoyed them, although the people down the front being menaced by the tracksuit-clad singer might disagree there. Does anybody know what they were called?
