The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster

So, who was at the Scala gig last night? Just like the last one in Camden, the crowd was very friendly. TEMBD's set was... punishing. I was right down the front and there seemed to be very little, if any, chance to catch your breath. Even for the new material, people wanted to dance/mosh/jump around. The only real break came before the encore. I'm absolutely knackered today. There was a lot of new material, which sounded fantastic, I have to say, and much heavier than the last album. Thre was no sign of any of the 'lighter' songs from that album either. So no Dancing Girls, or I Could Be An Angle, or Puppy Dog Snails.

The first support act was enjoyable, but nothing too special. I went back into the bar after about two minutes of the second support act, who just didn't appeal to me at all. I watched the third support act from the balcony, and really enjoyed them, although the people down the front being menaced by the tracksuit-clad singer might disagree there. Does anybody know what they were called?

i was there, at the front too :) i think the third support were called dead kids, or atleast thats what it said in the email -
9.45pm TEMBD
9.00pm Dead Kids
8.15pm Untitled Musical Project
7.30pm Sexy Butchers.

brilliant gig though, was SO happy to hear turkish delights and giant bones. just read your blog about not knowing anyone who really loves 80s matchbox, i have a similar problem! makes finding someone to go to the gigs with me quite hard

Ah, dead kids. I shall have to look them up. I've pre-ordered the new EP now. Free ouija board!
